HONG KONG – CNOOC has started production from the Bozhong 26-3 oil field expansion project in the southern Bohai Sea offshore eastern China.
Development involved construction of a new unmanned wellhead platform and a power platform, installed in 21 m (69 ft) water depth, and connected to existing processing facilities.
CNOOC plans to drill five producer wells, two water injectors, plus one development/appraisal well, and expects peak production later this year of around 2,670 b/d.
