CNOOC starts up Lufeng oil field quartet offshore China

HONG KONGCNOOC has started production from the Lufeng oil fields regional development in the eastern South China Sea.

These include the Lufeng 14-4, 14-8, 15-1, and 22-1 oil fields, in water depths of 140-330 m (459-1,083 ft).

The main facilities comprise two drilling/production platforms and one subsea production system.

CNOOC plans 35 development wells (26 producers and nine water injectors), and is targeting peak production of around 46,000 b/d of crude in 2023.
