CNOOC starts up Qinhuangdao 33-1S platform

HONG KONGCNOOC has started production from the Qinhuangdao 33-1S oilfield phase I project in the central and western Bohai region offshore China, in a water depth of 21 m (69 ft).

The project involved constructing a new wellhead platform connected to existing offshore facilities.

CNOOC plans to drill nine production wells and four water injectors, with production peaking at around 6,000 b/d of crude in 2021.
