ABERDEEN, UKTendeka will provide its inflow control technology to help boost production from two fields offshore Sabah, Malaysia.

An unnamed operator awarded the company a three-year contract for supply of its FloSure Autonomous Inflow Control Devices (AICDs).

Keith Parrott, Tendeka’s South East Asia area manager, said: “Early water and gas breakthrough is challenging for oil producers. Our technology can choke back unwanted water from being produced to surface and enabling higher oil production to be maintained for longer.

“Adopting best practice modeling techniques and installation practices from previous work is allowing us to optimize designs and save time in completing wells, resulting in significant cost savings for clients.

The contract, which came through Vantage Energy Group, Tendeka’s partner in the region, includes a one-year extension option.
