LONDON -– Fairfield Energy has contracted Technip UK to provide subsea engineering, procurement, construction, and installation services for the Dunlin Fuel Gas pipeline project in the northern North Sea.

Construction of this gas import pipeline will allow the Dunlin platform to become self-sufficient in fuel gas, improving the installation’s power generation capability.

Fairfield expects Dunlin to be connected to a long-term fuel gas supply via EnQuest’s Thistle–Don pipeline. The resultant improved volumes of reservoir water injection should lead to further oil production increases from the Dunlin, Osprey, and Merlin fields.
