OSLO -- Petroleum Geo-Services (PGS) has completed the Merluza survey in Santos basin nearly two weeks ahead of schedule despite serious currents, voracious barnacles, and large swell.
The Ramform Valiant started the survey in mid-December 2008, and took 80 days to acquire almost 2,000 sq km (772 sq mi) of data, with 10 x 8 km (6 x 5 mi) streamers.
