ASKER, Norway – TGS has started expansion of a 2D multi-client survey offshore northeast Greenland.
TheM/V Akademik Shatskiy is performing 2D seismic acquisition, supported by the icebreaker vessel M/V Vking Balder, with a helicopter used for ice density monitoring.
Ice conditions are favorable, so TGS is hoping to acquire around 4,200 km (2,610 mi) of 2D multi-client seismic.
The NEG13 will assist bids for the 2013/2014 Greenland licensing round. Processed data is expected to be available to clients early next year.
