ASKER, NorwayTGS has completed processing as scheduled of its Erlend Wild West multi-client 3D seismic survey west of Shetland.

The data, said to provide an enhanced subsurface image to assist geological analysis of this region, is already being delivered to the first customers.

Erlend Wild West is a 3,900-sq km (1,506-sq mi) survey: acquisition of 1,900 sq km (733 sq mi) of data started during the fall of 2018, using Clari-Fi broadband technology to deliver high fidelity imaging, the company said.

Also included in the dataset are various vintage surveys, including EW12 3D.

TGS said the combination of processing of new data and reprocessing of vintage data had led to significantly improved visualization of the sub-basalt-influenced geological settings, including high velocity contrasts and volcanics.
