SLP to build Valhall quarters

BP has contracted SLP to provide five modules for its Valhall Re-Development Project platform in the Norwegian North Sea.

LOWESTOFT, UK --BP has contracted SLP to provide five modules for its Valhall Re-Development Project platform in the Norwegian North Sea.

The facilities comprise a 3,100-ton living quarters module, an 850-ton power-from-shore module, a 440-ton low voltage local equipment room (LER), a 320-ton LER, and a 300-ton emergency LER.

Engineering work started at SLP's yard in Lowestoft in June, and the modules should be delivered between end-July 2008 and end-April 2010, the living quarters being the final completed package.
