High Norwegian content in both North Sea Sverdrup phases

STAVANGER, Norway – Equinor purchased goods and services totaling NOK141.7 billion ($16.57 billion) last year from more than 9,000 companies globally.

Suppliers with a Norwegian billing address accounted for around two-thirds of the total outlay.

Over the past year, the company pointed out, the Norwegian content of its procurements increased from 61% to 67%, with local suppliers providing more than 70% of the equipment for Phase 1 of the flagshipJohan Sverdrup field development in the Norwegian North Sea.

Local content forPhase 2 will be higher.

Equinor and its various partners have sanctioned more than 20 large new projects since 2016.
