    Bergen Group to assist in Yme platform hook up

    SBM has awarded Bergen Group Rosenberg a $1.7 million contract for early preparation works associated with the offshore hook up of the Yme platform. The project will begin immediately.

    BERGEN, Norway -- SBM has awarded Bergen Group Rosenberg a $1.7 million contract for early preparation works associated with the offshore hook up of the Yme platform. The project will begin immediately.

    The project involves onshore fabrication and preparation of a hatch deck platform to be installed on the wellhead module together with the offshore outfitting completion of the wellhead module of the Yme platform.

    The platform is currently being completed in Abu Dhabi and scheduled to arrive on location offshore Norway before the end of the year. The contract may be extended to also include the subsequent offshore hook up phase, the company says.
