Offshore staff
LARNACA, Cyprus – Nexen Petroleum has contracted Prosafe’s accommodation semisubmersible Safe Caledonia for a 240-day firm period to support the Golden Eagle project in the UK central North Sea.
Subject to Golden Eagle receiving regulatory approval, on site operations should start between May and July 2014. Prosafe has also granted Nexen an additional 30-day option.
The value of the contract for the firm period is around $74 million.
