LONDON — EnQuest plans drilling campaigns at two U.K. North Sea fields this year.

At Magnus in the East Shetland Basin, well restoration activities continue, with so far two wells returned to service. The well intervention program will continue, with infill drilling of three wells planned later this year.

At Golden Eagle in the central sector, production has been impacted by gas-lift maintenance and natural decline. Operator CNOOC and its partners expect to drill two infill wells at the end of the year, with EnQuest, as a new co-venturer, helping to optimize drilling performance and future well activity.

The company is progressing work on a development plan for the heavy oil Bressay Field, and it recently started well plug and abandonment at Thistle in the northern U.K. North Sea. In the same region, subsea infrastructure removal is underway within the 500-m zone at the decommissioned Dons Field.

Offshore Malaysia, EnQuest has completed three of four planned well workovers, with the rig installed at the platform ahead of a four-well infill drilling campaign.
