DELFT, the Netherlands – Allseas’ Pioneering Spirit has installed a new module on the Buzzard production platform in the UK central North Sea for operator CNOOC International.
The 27-m (88.6-ft) long, 18-m (59-ft) tall, 516-metric ton (569-ton) module contains process, utilities, and controls equipment unit.
It was loaded onboard the vessel directly from the Worley Rosenberg fabrication site in Stavanger, Norway, transported to the Buzzard field, and placed on the southwest corner of the platform for hook up and commissioning, as part of the Buzzard Phase II development.
The Pioneering Spirit, which previously removed two topsides from the Morecambe Bay complex in the East Irish Sea, will next undertake its first offshore wind platform installation.
