ADELAIDE, Australia – Gas from the Sole field offshore Victoria has for the first time entered the Eastern Gas Pipeline system that connects to the onshore Orbost gas processing plant.
Operator Cooper Energy commissioned APA Group to upgrade the facility in order to process Sole’s gas.
Commissioning at Orbost is proceeding toward a second phase, which will include the introduction of gas from Sole and commissioning of raw gas processing facilities.
This will be followed by a plant production test and the start of firm gas supply from Sole, anticipated later in February.
Full rate production is expected to follow during March.
