ADELAIDE, Australia – Cooper Energy has signed a new agreement to supply Australian glass products manufacturer O-I with 1 PJ/yr of gas from the Casino Henry fields in the Otway basin offshore Victoria.

Recently, Cooper and Mitsui, recently acquired the onshore Minerva Gas Plant to create a low-cost processing hub for their existing offshore Otway gas production and new discoveries such as Annie (September 2019).

The plant is set to receive its first gas from Casino Henry in the first half of 2021. Prior to that date, processing of gas from Casino Henry will continue at the Iona Gas Plant.

Annie is 9 km (5.6 mi) offshore Victoria in a water depth of 58 m (190 ft), between Henry, 15 km (9.3 mi) to the west, and the Minerva gas field, 11 km (6.8 mi) to the east.

Subject to the outcome of current studies on data collected from the Annie-1 well, Cooper may take a final investment decision on a development later in the current calendar year.

This could form part of a wider Otway Phase-3 development, which could include a further development well at Henry.

Annie is close to subsea infrastructure serving producing gas fields and could also be connect to the Minerva Gas Plant.
