LONDONEnQuest is working on low-cost well interventions and other programs to raise production efficiency at its PM8/Seligi facilities offshore Peninsular Malaysia.

Investments include gas compression overhauls, well test improvements with multi-phase flow meters, and process simplifications to improve overall reliability.

In addition, the company has been performing maintenance and integrity inspection campaigns related to platform structures, topsides, and subsea pipelines.

Last year it defined new drilling projects for execution in 2018, also progressing rebuilding of static and dynamic reservoir simulation models to support longer-term field redevelopment.

EnQuest plans to drill two PM8/Seligi commitment wells (appraisal and development) around mid-year, with first production to follow during 3Q. It will also undertake idle well restoration and surveillance campaigns.

Over the longer term, the company aims to extend field life through further investment in idle well restoration, facility improvements and upgrades, and to conduct technical studies supporting development drilling and secondary recovery projects to increase ultimate recovery.
