LONDONEnQuest expects to increase production from its UK North Sea and offshore Malaysia fields this year by around 20% to 63,000-70,000 boe/d.

This is partly due to new volumes coming online at the end of March through the DC4 drill center at the heavy-oilKraken field in the northern North Sea, and improved performance at the Scolty/Crathes fields in the central North Sea following a pipeline replacement project scheduled for this summer.

In addition, EnQuest plans to drill new wells at the Magnus field in the East Shetland basin and the PM/8 Seligi project in Malaysian waters.

At the same time, the company anticipates higher opex this year at around $600 million, due to the full-year impact of taking anadditional 75% interest in Magnus from former operator BP.
