SINGAPORE – Sembcorp Marine subsidiary PPL Shipyard has terminated two contracts with Perisai Petroleum Teknologi for the construction of two jackup rigs following the expiry of existing deferment agreements.
Both rigs were built based on the PPL Pacific Class 400 design. They are capable of operating in up to 400 ft of water and to drill high-pressure/high-temperature wells to depths of 30,000 ft.
There is accommodation onboard for 150 people in one and two-man cabins.
PPL continues to market the rigs to prospective buyers.
