SAN DONATO, Milan -- Saipem has been awarded four drilling contracts worth $510 million. The contracts are for the charter of Saipem's Scarabeo 4 drilling rig offshore Egypt and Scarabeo 3 offshore Nigeria, along with the charter of six onshore rigs in Saudi Arabia.
The International Egyptian Oil Co. will use theScarabeo 4 semisubmerisble off the coast of Egypt for 28 months beginning in 4Q 2007.
Addax Petroleum has extended for one year its charter of theScarabeo 3 semi for use off the coast of Nigeria, taking effect at the end of the existing commitment.
