Lundin starts Ridgewood quest

Lundin Petroleum has started drilling an exploration well on the Ridgewood structure in the Moray Firth off eastern Scotland.

STOCKHOLM, Sweden --Lundin Petroleum has started drilling an exploration well on the Ridgewood structure in the Moray Firth off eastern Scotland.

The jackupGlobal Santa Fe Galaxy II is drilling the well in block 12/17b, the first of three back-to-back wells scheduled for Lundin in the UK sector.

Ridgewood is a four-way dip closure in Jurassic sandstones, with un-risked potential reserves of 41 MMboe. Drilling should take around 28 days.
