Norse Energy gets Gengibre drill permit

Norse Energy Corp has received an environmental license to drill the Gengibre prospect in block BCAM-40 offshore Brazil in the Camamu-Almada basin.

LYSAKER, Norway – Norse Energy Corp has received an environmental license to drill the Gengibre prospect in block BCAM-40 offshore Brazil in the Camamu-Almada basin.

In partnership with Petrobras and Queiroz Galvão, Norse Energy plans to drill 4 km (2.5 mi) northeast of Manati #3 in 52 m (171 ft) of water. A TD of 3,500 m (11,483 ft) is planned to reach the Sergi sandstone which is the producing horizon in Manati field.
