Apache prepares Sutralian seismic program

RWEA-DEA Norge has won clearance for an exploration well 12 km (7.5 mi) west of the Gjøa field in the Norwegian North Sea.

OSLO, Norway -- RWEA-DEA Norge has won clearance for an exploration well 12 km (7.5 mi) west of the Gjøa field in the Norwegian North Sea.

Petroleum Safety Authority Norway authorized use of the semisub Bredford Dolphin to drill well 35/9-6 S in production license PL 420, 50 km (31 mi) west of the Norwegian coast. Water depth at the site is 369 m (1,210 ft).

Drilling should start early next month and last around 55 days.
