Abuqir Petroleum has hit pay with the NAQ PII-2 well in the Abu Qir concession offshore Egypt. The well tested a cumulative production of 1.85 MMcf/d of natural gas and 850 b/d of condensate.

The company plans to conduct additional surveys and interpretation programs on the area over the coming months. Plans to drill new wells are also under way, the company says
