Statoil prepares next-phase drilling at Oseberg in North Sea

Petroleum Safety Authority Norway has authorized Statoil to drill and complete a production well in the Norwegian North Sea.

OSLO, Norway – Petroleum Safety Authority Norway has authorized Statoil to drill and complete a production well in the Norwegian North Sea.

The semisubBorgland Dolphin will drill the well on Oseberg Sør in production license 104 in 102 m (334 ft) water depth.

The program should start on Oct. 27 and last 125 days.
