Songa Mercur to drill offshore Cuba for Zarubezhneft

Songa Offshore SE has received a firm contract from Zarubezhneft for a drilling campaign offshore Cuba using the Songa Mercur.

LIMASSOL, Cyprus –Songa Offshore SE has received a firm contract from Zarubezhneft for a drilling campaign offshore Cuba using the Songa Mercur.

The 325-day, $88-million contract begins July 1 when the rig leaves Malaysia for Trinidad, where it will be on standby until drilling starts. Start is expected in November.
