    bp extends Diamond drillship term in the GoM

    Diamond Offshore has clinched a two-year contract extension with bp for the drillship Ocean BlackHornet in the US Gulf of Mexico.

    HOUSTON — Diamond Offshore has clinched a two-year contract extension with bp for the drillship Ocean BlackHornet in the US Gulf of Mexico.

    This will take effect in February 2025 in direct continuation of the rig’s current contract, with an estimated value of about $350 million.
