bp has awarded Transocean a 365-day contract for the ultradeepwater drillship Deepwater Atlas in the US Gulf of Mexico (GoM).
The program, due to start in second-quarter 2028, could be extended by a further year.
The estimated value is about $232 million, excluding mobilization.
In July, Transocean has secured a 1,095-day contract for the ultradeepwater Deepwater Invictus drillship with bp, which was also for work in the US GoM.
