KONGSBERG, Norway – Kongsberg Digital and Shell International Exploration & Production have entered an agreement to collaborate on digital solutions for improved well delivery and performance.
Hege Skryseth, president of Kongsberg Digital and executive vice president Kongsberg, said: “We already have a strong relationship with Shell on energy production and look forward to replicating that model to enable transformation of another segment.”
Shell has used Kongsberg Digital’s real-time data products to support its global wells portfolio for several years, and is now implementing a digital transformation of its wells business.
“We are excited to formalize our collaboration on the next generation projects in Wells IoT and Shell’s wider digital transformation,” said Jon Crane, vice president of Wells Digital at Shell International.
“Advances in cloud technology, ML delivery and visualization techniques open up opportunities to improve operational safety and decision making.”
The agreement covers the overall life cycle for well deliveries, through planning, execution, and reporting.
