    INEOS books Dolphin rig for Fat Canyon well offshore Norway

    INEOS Energy AS has contracted the semisubmersible Borgland Dolphin to drill its first operated exploration well on the Norwegian continental shelf.

    SANDNES, Norway – INEOS Energy AS has contracted the semisubmersible Borgland Dolphin to drill its first operated exploration well on the Norwegian continental shelf.

    Drilling of the Fat Canyon well in the Norwegian Sea is expected to start in 3Q 2021. The estimated duration is 40 days.

    Bjørnar Iversen, chief executive of Dolphin Drilling, said the rig has secured continuous work through the year.
