Equinor books Shelf rig for North Sea Sleipner drilling program

Equinor has contracted the jackup Shelf Drilling Barsk (ex-Noble Lloyd Noble) for two firm wells at the Sleipner Vest Field in the Norwegian North Sea.

DUBAI, UAE – Equinor has contracted the jackup Shelf Drilling Barsk (ex-Noble Lloyd Noble) for two firm wells at the Sleipner Vest Field in the Norwegian North Sea.

Value of the 270-day firm period is about $61 million, excluding certain integrated services.

Equinor has options to take the rig for two additional wells, with operations due to start between May and July 2024.
