OSLO, Norway – Wintershall Dea will drill the Toutatis prospect in the Norwegian North Sea, following approval by Norway’s Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA).
The semisubmersible West Hercules should spud well 6611/1-1 in license PL 896 in September or October. Drilling is expected to last 29 days.
The location is 150 km (93 mi) northeast of the Equinor-operated Norne field. Water depth is 357 m (1,171 ft).
