CNOOC extends North Sea deal for Maersk jackup

COPENHAGEN, Denmark – CNOOC Petroleum Europe has exercised a one-well option for the jackup Mærsk Innovator.
The CJ70 ultra-harsh environment jackup, delivered in 2003, is contracted for infill drilling at the Buzzard field in the UK central North Sea.
With the extension, it remains firmly contracted until February 2020.
