HOUSTON– BP says that with the installation of the three-ram capping stack, the new sealing cap is in place and integrity testing is in progress. The duration of the test is not fixed. For this period, all existing containment at the Q4000 and the Helix Producer will be suspended temporarily.
Test information will be reviewed by BP and the involved United States’ agencies to determine the next step.
