(US, GoM) - Canyon Offshore has recorded a working dive to 9,024 ft in Lloyd Ridge block 399 in the eastern Gulf of Mexico with itsQuest WROV.
TheQuest, an electric work class ROV (WROV) was deployed to perform pre-lay route surveys for 8-in. and 10-in. JVC flowlines, and to conduct array integrity checks. The dive, conducted in depths of 9,000 ft and deeper, lasted 30 hours.
TheQuest is a new generation WROV, rated to 10,000 ft and adaptable for depths to 19,500 ft, which makes it particularly well suited for activity in the deep and ultra deepwater fields currently being developed in the eastern Gulf.
