Petrofac Facilities Management has awarded Intermoor an engineering/mooring services contract for the decommissioned FPSO Northern Endeavour.

The vessel previously operated at a location in the Timor Sea between the Laminaria and Corallina oil fields, about 550 km northwest of Darwin, Australia.

In 2019, it was shut down permanently following concerns over safety issues, with the Australian government assuming control after the operator’s liquidation. This led to the establishment of a decommissioning program covering well abandonment, removal of subsea infrastructure and dismantling of the FPSO.

Petrofac is managing the disconnection and decommissioning of the vessel, which will be positioned offshore Singapore during the decommissioning phase.

Intermoor’s duties cover project management and engineering as well as design, provision, installation and recovery of the temporary mooring system, including full mob/demobilization.
