CGG appoints new CEO

The CGG board of directors has appointed Sophie Zurquiyah as CEO.

PARIS– The CGG board of directors has appointed Sophie Zurquiyah as CEO.

She joined CGG in 2013 after 22 years in the oilfield services industry. Zurquiyah was previously COO and senior executive vice president in charge of the GGR segment, Technology and Global Operational Excellence.

She succeeds Jean-Georges Malcor.

The board also has announced the cooptation of Helen Lee Bouygues to replace BPI France Participations, and the cooptation of Heidi Petersen to replace Didier Houssin.
