ABERDEEN, UK -- TAQA Bratani has completed structural integrity and upgrade work on all its four platforms in the UK northern North Sea.

The work on Tern, Eider, Cormorant Alpha, and North Cormorant is designed to ensure continued safety of the installations and to extend their oil and gas production into the future.

It added up to one of the largest shutdown seasons ever performed on the installations, involving over 60,000 man-hours of work.

Leo Koot, TAQA Bratani’s managing director, said: “We have worked relentlessly to ensure the integrity and performance of our assets, resulting in an improvement in reliability and increased oil production from 2009 to 2010.

“2011 will see another year of high investment on our installations, including a full upgrade of the control room system on North Cormorant.”
