Sinopacific picks MacGregor for anchor handler winches
MacGregor will provide an anchor-handling towing winch (AHTW) package to Sinopacific Engineering & Contracting Co.
These will be installed on various SPA90 (90T BP AHTS ABS Class) anchor-handling tug supply vessels (AHTS) owned by Sinopacific.
The scope of supply covers an anchor windlass with roller chain stoppers, anchor-handling towing winch with dynamic lowering and hydraulic spooling device, tugger winches, capstans, power pack, and 250-t shark jaws towing pins.
MacGregor expects to deliver the first batch of winches in April 2026.
The SPA90 is a diesel-electric (battery hybrid optional) shallow draft AHTS configured in particular for operations offshore West Africa, the Middle East and Southeast Asia.
