OSLO – Grenland Group has installed a new deoxygenation system on the Agbami FPSO offshore Nigeria. The Minox system has the capacity to process 450,000 b/d of water, the company says.

The system was fabricated at Grenland Group’s yard in Tønsberg, Norway and transported to Korea for installation on the FPSO. The FPSO will inject water and associated gas for reservoir pressure management.

“The start-up has been successful and the system has measured results far below the required 10 parts per billion oxygen in the injection water,” says Hans Evald Henriksen of Grenland Group. “Again, we have proven our ability to deliver effective systems for removal of oxygen from injection water.”
