Dresser-Rand subsidiary wins BP power generation contract

BP has awarded Dresser-Rand Group's Norwegian subsidiary a $75 million contract to supply four power generation packages for an FPSO.

HOUSTON -- BP has awarded Dresser-Rand Group's Norwegian subsidiary a $75 million contract to supply four power generation packages for an FPSO. This will be the first of up to four identical contracts, as part of BP's Angola development program, according to Dresser-Rand.
The power generation packages, which feature a three-point mounted, torque tube design, will be full-load string tested at Dresser-Rand's facility in Drammen, Norway.
