FORT WAYNE, INDIANA  Trelleborg Sealing Solutions will show its latest developments in HP/HT technologies at Offshore Northern Seas (ONS) 2022 in Stavanger later this month.

The Variseal oil and gas seal selector is an online configuration tool that allows users to quickly create a standard or custom seal proposal document for use in seal design in oil, gas and energy applications.

A solution and hardware recommendation are both provided based on the user’s inputs, with the option to save the results, email or download as a PDF to share information with colleagues. Seal designs or dimensions can be adjusted without the need to repeat the option selection.

The XploR S-Seal and XploR FS-Seal are spring-energized elastomer seals that are said to combine the benefits of integral support components with the flexibility of an elastomer seal in static applications.

Unlike traditional O Ring and Back-up ring or T-Seal solutions, Trelleborg said, they are single-piece components, engineered to make installation easier and safer.

The single-component design is said to remove the need for multiple back-up rings that require correct placement in the housing, simplifying installation in closed grooves and in ‘blindly installed’ applications, thereby reducing the likelihood of damage.

Trelleborg will be at booth 7340 in Hall 7.
