SMJ Energy joins Sabah FLNG venture

PETRONAS LNG has signed a heads of agreement with SMJ Energy, confirming the latter’s 25% equity participation in PFLNG 3 Sdn. Bhd.

Designed by consortium leader TechnipFMC and fabricated at the Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering yard in South Korea, PFLNG Satu achieved the first-ever production of LNG offshore in December 2016.

PETRONAS LNG has signed a heads of agreement with SMJ Energy, confirming the latter’s 25% equity participation in PFLNG 3 Sdn. Bhd.

This is the company responsible for developing the shore-based PGLNG 3 FLNG facility, which will be located in Sipitang Oil & Gas Industrial Park (SOGIP), Sabah.
