It follows aninitial agreement between the two parties in April. Since July 1, the Keppel Verolme shipyard and its 250 staff have been operating under the Damen flag.
The Verolme yard in Rottterdam’s Botlek harbour has three dry docks – the largest of which measures 405 x 90 m (1,329 x 295 ft) – and almost 2 km (1.2 mi) of quay capacity.
DSC already operates eight repair and conversion yards in the Netherlands and another eight elsewhere.
