Keppel, Safe Yards bid for Sverdrup accommodation rig

Start-up Norwegian company Safe Yards has entered into a partnership with Dutch offshore maintenance and refurbishment yard Keppel Verolme following meetings at ONS 2016.

STAVANGER, Norway – Start-up Norwegian company Safe Yards has entered into a partnership with Dutch offshore maintenance and refurbishment yard Keppel Verolme following meetings at ONS 2016.

The duo will compete jointly for a contract onStatoil’s Johan Sverdrup project in the North Sea to modify the accommodation jackup Haven.

Safe Yards is part of BR Industrier, while Keppel Verolme is owned by Keppel Offshore & Marine.
