Well-Safe takes quayside space in Dundee

ABERDEEN, UK – Well abandonment specialist Well-Safe Solutions will locate its onshore marine base in the Port of Dundee, eastern Scotland.
The company has secured two acres of quayside facilities with access to 40,000 sq ft (3,716 sq m) of covered space at the port for its marine assets.
Well-Safe is offering a complete P&A capability, from front-end engineering and design to project execution.
The site at Dundee provides the company with direct access to deepwater quaysides, heavy-lifting capabilities, warehouse space and unrestricted access to established ANSS decommissioning facilities.
Phil Milton, chief executive of Well-Safe Solutions, said: “We have chosen the Port of Dundee because of the critical mass of decommissioning companies already based here and the facilities on offer. We are looking forward to fostering a strong partnership with Forth Ports.”
Other tenants include AF Offshore Decom, as part of the soon to be formedAF Dundee, waste management specialist Augean North Sea Services (ANSS), and various niche decommissioning specialists.
Well-Safe has committed to invest £200 million ($266 million) in assets and grow its workforce to 400 in the next three years, and recently won its first contract to support TAQA’s North Sea P&A program.
