Abel adds Saab Seaeye Falcon ROV to training facility

Abel has added the Saab Seaeye Falcon ROV to its dedicated global ROV training facility in Crotone, south of Italy.

CROTONE, Italy -- Abel has added the Saab Seaeye Falcon ROV to its dedicated global ROV training facility in Crotone, south of Italy.

The Falcon system supplied to Abel is equipped with a high definition color camera, low light B/W camera, a Tritech SeaPrince panoramic sonar, and a single function, three jaw manipulator, and rope cutter.

Pilots and technicians get direct experience onboard Abel's M/VSea Explorer, both in the harbor premises and in open sea. This includes 12-hour shift work, pre-post dive checks, umbilical management, and pilot skills, in different conditions and locations.
