Offshore staff
FARNBOROUGH, UK – BAE Systems plans to upgrade its waterfront facilities in Western Australia to provide new services in support of local offshore operations.
It will invest more than $8.2 million at its complex in Henderson. Phase I is designed to widen services for vessel support and offshore fabrication.
The program will include extending rail lines, upgrading the main construction shed with a new blast and paint area, refurbishing of the vessel turntable, yard sealing, and a new office complex.
When complete, BAE says the 14.5-ha (36-acre) site will be capable of handling a larger volume of vessels, including drillships and construction barges, and manufacturing of subsea structures, pipe spools, manifolds, risers and modularized processing facilities.
