DUBAI, UAE –Norwegian group Goltens has opened a new marine engineering center at the Dubai Maritime City (DMC) complex.
The 100,000-sq ft (9,290-sq m) diesel and mechanical repair and docking facility is designed to support Goltens’ offshore, marine and industrial clients in the Middle East.
Italian classification society RINA Group has agreed to supply certification and engineering services to Drydocks World - Dubai (LLC).
RINA Group will assist project management and ship classification and certification for a range of vessels, including floating offshore oil and gas units.
The memorandum of understanding will extend to shipbuilding, conversions, and re-fits.
