TEHRAN, Iran – A new 32-in. subsea pipeline is nearly ready to transport sour gas from the South Pars Phase 13 development in the Persian Gulf to an onshore refining complex.

Pars Oil and Gas Co. official Payam Motamed told news service Shana that two flare stacks had been lit on the 3B and satellite 13D platforms, four days after the completion of hook-up and commissioning operations.

Once the platforms are fully operational, sour gas output from Phase 13 should reach 1 bcf/d, around half the ultimately projected capacity.
